A Study On Saddle Unearthed In Shaanxi And Gansu Regions From Han To Tang Dynasties

After man tamed the horse,the horse's position in people's life is rising day by day,in addition to the cavalry's unceasing growth,the saddle then comes into being according to the time request,and therefore becomes the people entertainment,the travel,the war and so on essential horse appliance.Through the comprehensive retrieval of archaeological unearthed materials and related tombs,cave murals and other image data of the saddle of Han to Tang dynasties in Shaanxi-Gansu area,this paper systematically cites the relevant documents,and widely absorbs the related research results of predecessors.The origin and development of saddle,the characteristics and evolution of saddle unearthed in Han to Tang dynasties,and the value of saddle in history and archaeology are studied systematically.This paper probes into the communication between the Central Plains culture and the Western region culture in the Han and Tang dynasties and the culture of the northern nationalities in the Han to Tang dynasties,so as to restore their historical appearance.Through the horse saddle,we can also understand to a certain extent the people of the Han to Tang dynasties.Life style,can also know our ancient saddle production technology level of continuous progress.This paper is divided into four parts: firstly,the origin and structure of saddle are discussed,and the origin and function of saddle are explored based on the origin of stirrup,the influence of horse industry and cavalry development on saddle.Secondly,through the comprehensive retrieval of the archaeological materials of tombs in Shaanxi-Gansu area and the image data of Dunhuang grottoes murals,the relevant saddle information is sorted out according to the development of the times,and the corresponding tables are drawn.Thus,it can provide a more comprehensive information of saddle in Han and Tang dynasties in Shaanxi and Gansu.Third,through the above collection,collation of archaeological data and historical documents,the saddle of Shaanxi-Gansu Han to Tang dynasties is studied in depth,which is analyzed according to the development of saddle in the Han Dynasty,Wei-Jin Southern and Northern dynasties,Sui and Tang dynasties and the late Tang Dynasty.And then restore its historical appearance.The fourth part,from the aspect of the cultural exchange of the national culture reflected in the saddle of Shaanxi,reveals the rapid development of the saddle in the Han to Tang period,and analyzes the situation of cultural exchange settlement in the Han to Tang Silk Road from the aspects of the Central Plains culture and the Western culture and the cultural exchange of the North.The innovation of this paper mainly has two aspects: first,for the saddle of Han to Tang dynasties in Shaanxi-Gansu area,the predecessors lack due research.Through a comprehensive search,this paper collates the archaeological data unearthed in Shaanxi-Gansu area.And systematically cited relevant documents,comprehensively discussed the development and evolution of saddle in the Han to Tang dynasties in Shaanxi-Gansu region,and analyzed the problems of national cultural exchange reflected by saddle.In order to make some contributions to the study of saddle and saddle culture in ancient China.Secondly,the ardent attention of the academic circles to the Silk Road in recent years has also caused the author to unearth the horse by sorting out the archaeological materials and documentary records of the saddle unearthed in Shaanxi-Gansu region.The cultural value of saddle,the reflection of the cultural exchange between China and the West and the cultural exchange with the northern nationalities.
