As a celebrity in the late Ming Dynasty,Chen Jiru enjoys a great reputation in the late Ming Dynasty.It is not only the representative of the late Ming dynasty,but also the power of the late Ming militant groups and the Song Jiang School of Painting,and he integrates the most features of late Ming Dynasty.Such diverse and important identities have made his aesthetic thoughts complex and rich.So,this paper is divided into three chapters to focus on Chen Jiru's aesthetic thought of painting.The first chapter summarizes the background and origin of Chen Jiru's painting aesthetic thoughts.Briefly describe the political,economic,life,and cultural backgrounds of Chen Jiru's life,his experiences,and his thoughts' influence on his works and the aesthetics of his paintings.Chen Jiru's painting aesthetics is not only an inevitable reflection of the spiritual outlook of his life time,but also influenced by his life practice and ideological inclination.The second chapter illustrates his aesthetic ideas by his painting attitude with Chen Jiru's painting creation.Firstly,illustrating Chen Jiru's three kinds of painting attitude of "trick"," livelihood" and "socializing entertainment" through concrete examples.Next,His aesthetics is scattered in a large number of anthologies and works of calligraphy and paintings left behind by him.both drawing and writing,both talent and cultivation;and delicate theory.And his painting practice has been proved these theories.The second chapter elaborates Chen Jiru's aesthetic thoughts on the two aspects of his painting purposes and his methods of painting.First of all,from the point of view of his painting creations' purposes,Chen Jiru's paintings are needed for self-entertainment,livelihood and communicative.His multiple painting attitude actually reflects the artistic aesthetic style of the late Ming dynasty hermits and celebrities,and he is representative.Secondly,his thoughts on the aesthetic creation of paintings were scattered in a large number of his anthologies and paintings.After combing,Chen Jiru's aesthetics of painting aesthetics can be roughly summed up as follows: “the same meaning between painting and calligraphy,and the intention outside from paintings and creations”,“the theory of genius and self-cultivation” and "Efforts Theory".In the era of martial art disputes in the Ming Dynasty,his aesthetic ideas of painting are different from those of other calligraphers and famous artists,with his personality.The third chapter to explore Chen Jiru's aesthetic painting thoughts by his painting appreciation activities.Chen Jiru used a wealth of creative experience and artistic accomplishments to appreciate the paintings of a large number of previous generations of famous artists.In his long-term appreciation and practice,he has formed the three aspects of his painting theories of Yipin Theory,Paintings and Personalities,North and South Sects.Which plays an important role in enriching the aesthetic thoughts of painting appreciation in the late Ming Dynasty,for its significant meanings.
