A Report On The Industrialization Development Of Traditional Culture—the Exploration Of Animal Sign Culture And Industrialization

The twelve animal signs,also called the twelve Chinese zodiac signs,have a history of more than two thousand years.They are an important part of Chinese culture,widely existed in every field of Chinese society,and are rich in Chinese elements.The twelve animal signs are not just a simple calendar system,but also contain the ancient Chinese astronomy,folk culture and religious arts and other cultural aspects.As a unique part of Chinese culture,the twelve animal signs are vivid and profound,and is the symbol of the national spirit of China,and is also a window for foreign people to understand Chinese culture,which is of great importance to advance Chinese culture and create China's international image.This thesis is based on the theory of German theorist Hans Vermere's Skopos Theory,taking The Industrial Development of Traditional Culture — The Exploration of Animal Sign Culture and Industrialization as text,through analyzing the birth,development,historical backgroud,cultural connotation and industiral situation,to explore the way to guide the translation of the unique connotation of Chinese culture by Skopos Theory and find corresponding translating theory.There are five chapters in this thesis.Chapter One is the Introduction,discussing the researching background and meaning of this thesis.Chapter Two is the theoretical guidance of translating practice,introducing the origin,features of Skopos Theory and its guiding meaning for translation.Chapter Three is the description of this translation task,introducing the important and difficult points and preparation for this translation task.Chapter Four is the research of English translation of the twelve animal signs culture guided by the Skopos Theory,introducing the translation text and method.Chapter Five is the conclusion,introducing the researching fruits,existing problems and prospect for the future.
