The Museum of Modern Art(MoMA),as an important place of modern art,has attracted special attention since the early 20 th century.It has been leading the trend of modern art and providing a place for modern artists to be seen.The opening of the exhibition <“Primitivism” in 20 th Century Art:Affinity of the Tribal and the Modern> of the Museum of Modern Art has triggered intense discussions from all walks of life.What the exhibition triggered was not only discussions about formalism but more about the discourse debate.The exhibition also marked an important turning point in the study of the relationship between primitive art and Western primitivism art.It provoked many dialogues between different levels of identity,different areas of knowledge,and different skin tones.Through rewriting the exhibition,we have more dimensions to think about it.
