Bai Xianyong, because of his advantageous status, coupled with his witnessing the fraught in Chinese modern times, makes his novel creation style and subject unique in the whole Taiwan literature and even Chinese literature. In this paper, the author will discuss the exile writing from the perspective of "writing in exile",combining with his life experience, and on the basis of the close reading of the text. The text consists of five chapters.Chapter one defines the definition of exile, explores the exile experience of Bai Xianyong, and summarizes the novel creation under the experience of his exile. In his troubled times,Bai had suffered from the serious illness of his youth, the loss of his country, the exile of his youth, and the exile from his own sexual choice, which makes Bai Xianyong particularly sensitive to the times change and the decay of the national culture.Because of his experiences and feelings in exile,he often chose to alienate the mainstream consciousness and write the elegy of national and human nature on the edge. The second chapter discusses the external manifestation of "exile" in Bai xianyong's novels.External exile groups in exile is experienced death and displaced external trauma,in the era of change throughout the island,it is difficult for them to see China,to the ocean exiles in this huge isolation of space and time experiencing pain in exile. The third chapter discusses the inner manifestation of "exile" in Bai Xianyong's novels. For the exile community, whether or not they are in their homeland, they fall into exile as long as their spiritual home becomes blurred.Internally displaced people are often aware of the loneliness of losing their homes,so they are more likely to feel the anxiety and pain of identity. In the face of such anxiety, the exiles are bound to find a way to escape, and returning home seems to be the law of liberation. But the road to return is not liberation, but a trap of eternal exile. The fourth chapter discusses the artistic tension of Bai Xianyong's writing in exile. In the exiled writing of Bai Xianyong, two writing modes are common. One is that the character explodes due to mental disorder, and finally is mad or dead in the shadow of "sex" crime. The second is that the exiles are exiled by the family because of their sexual selection, and are marginalized by the society, and thus fall into the situation of human exile. In these two modes, the combination of social morality and the internal contradictions of roles generates great artistic tension.Bai Xianyong's exile writing has been influenced by western modernism and traditional aesthetic taste. The two are opposite in the intersection, thus forming the artistic effect of narrative tension. The fifth chapter analyzes the factors that influence the writing of Bai Xianyong's exile.Bai Xianyong was isolated from his childhood experience, which made him appreciate the loneliness and pain of being exiled by his family, and accumulated emotional feelings and materials for his exile writing. The vicissitudes of life and the tumultuous times Bai Xianyong experienced gives him a sense of epoch trauma, and then makes him pay attention to the exiles in two levels---the state level and the national level. It also makes him explore their tragedy destiny and desolate.Existential thought liberation of human nature in the humanitarian thoughts raise his awareness of the need for gay community, while the disdain for the traditional moral in existentialism gave him the courage to write his own secret history.
