English is increasingly becoming a universal language.In the process of international business and communication,it is the dominant language.More than 50 countries have designated it as the official language.The world's third most common mother tongue is also English(Crystal,2003).One modern approach used in English classes is leveraging technology to help the students learn.For nearly a decade,technology has grown at an astonishing rate and,as such,some forms of it are beginning to play a role in the classroom.With proper integration,technology could help improve student performance inside and outside of English classrooms.Tongling Sanzhong(TLSZ)is a key experimental middle school in the city.English courses are included in its core curriculum and the school is currently studying the use of technology to improve the effectiveness of English language teaching.The immediate goal of this paper is to address some of the findings and recommendations about “How to use technology to reduce the silence of students in English classrooms in the classroom” and “How to use extra-curricular App to improve students' achievements.” To achieve this goal,the author first conducted questionnaires and interviews to seek to clarify: Firstly,How well the students are aware of using technology to improve their English learning in the classroom? What is the reason of students' silent about the current use of technology in the classroom? Secondly,the author traces the experimental design through individual cases to find out: In terms of extracurricular English learning,when students use mobile learning to learn vocabulary,whether their enthusiasm and learning effectiveness have been improved and what problems they will encounter;In terms of extracurricular English learning,what kind of role should teachers play to effectively guide students' mobile learning? What are the issues that need attention in the guidance process?Finally,the author use existing technologies to develop possible solutions to improve student performance according to assessments of the current state of the classroom.In the classroom,the author finds that the main factor in the current student's performance silence was the lack of participation in the classroom,which leads to a lack of participation in the entire course.The techniques recommended by the author in the classroom are specifically targeted at students' participation to promote interactive classrooms.The author recommends using Google forms as a means of daily assessment and attendance,accessible by students via smart-phones or computers.The author also suggests that teachers focus on the use of teaching methods.The main point is to divide students into more inviting groups for class discussion and practice.This will encourage more students to participate in the classroom.Outside the classroom,students are advised to use Bai Ci Zhai,Duolingo,Hu Jiang English,or Co Co English frequently so that they can use English more frequently and thus make the process of using English more comfortable.
