As a beautiful art form,line has always been highly valued.Especially in the form beauty of Chinese paintings,the profound meaning and charm contained in it have brought us important aesthetic inspiration.Line,as an important aesthetic element in figure paintings,is not only what we often think of as merely a form of modeling,but also have inherent rhythm,value aesthetics,formal beauty and other factors.In the aesthetic expression of traditional Chinese figure paintings,Our thoughts and feelings,spiritual ideas,and life experiences are closely related.Focusing on the Chinese classical aesthetics,the artistic spirit in Chinese painting theory and the method of painting creation,combining the artist's artistic style,the aesthetic atmosphere of the work and the artistic characteristics of the Line,it explores the beauty brought by the Line in the atmosphere created by the entire picture.Therefore in the discussion of this paper,the Line in the traditional figure paintings are incorporated into an aesthetic category.This article contains the artistic line of the life spirit.It shows important aesthetic qualities the connection in the painting.In addition,the important strokes associated with the Line in the ancient painting theory and the different aesthetic forms and aesthetic features of the Line themselves are also the focus of the investigation,step by step,and laid down the aesthetic qualities of the Line.The foundation and the last part are related to the philosophical thoughts of Confucianism,Taoism,and Buddhism as the intrinsic basis of these character and beauty.This article has five parts.The introduction part of the thesis mainly elaborates on why the line in Chinese figure paintings have aesthetic quality,finds the fundamental basis from the ancient painting theory,and combines the explanations of line in domestic academic circles to interpret the article's research ideas and methods.In the first chapter,the use of brushwork is crucial to the line.These paintings' drawing method directly create the line artist's line style and aesthetic features.It organizes and summarizes important drawing viewpoints proposed by ancient painters and the use of line affected by calligraphy.The second chapter specifically discusses several important aesthetic forms of line.This is not the formal aspect discussed in the general sense.Each of the dialectical relations in each group has a profound aesthetic and aesthetic connotation,making the line no longer only used as a model.In other way,it is enriched with a higher sense of aesthetic appeal.The third chapter,which is the core part of the dissertation,is also the most important part of the study.The contents of this chapter are analyzed in detail from the connotation of each character to the corresponding line language construction of each artist,and the line has "spirit","sense","aroma","conception","reality" aesthetic character.In the specific interpretation of the connotation of the character,the important artistic viewpoint related to this is mainly used in the Chinese painting theory,especially for the figure painting,as the theoretical basis.Combining the analysis of specific painters,the special aesthetic implication contained in figure paintings,their unique construction of line language and the reasons for their creation,and their connection with specific works are elaborated.The fourth chapter,from the perspective of being close to the “Tao”,the philosophical thoughts of Confucianism,Taoism,and Buddhism linked to the line are discussed.The philosophical core of Chinese painting is Taoism and painting is the“Tao”.Conclusion,summed up the various reasons for the formation of the aesthetic quality of line art,and get inspiration from it,in our current figure painting creation has important reference significance.
