The Cultural Dissemination Of Humanitarian Buddhism To Youth From The Perspective Of Communication

As one of the world's three biggest and natural religion,Buddhism was introduced into China since the Han dynasty.The Buddhist culture,Confucianism,and Taoism culture constitute important parts of Chinese traditional culture,which have been affecting people' thoughts and behavior more than two thousand years.Humanitarian Buddhism combines Buddhist thought with secular life,focusing on solving the dilemma of secular life and becoming the major contemporary form of Chinese Buddhism.Xing Yun,an master and concrete practitioner of the Humanitarian Buddhist thought,is dedicated to promoting education,culture,charity,and affecting many people in the world.The "Youth Temple Life Experience Camp",sponsored by the Forest College of Buddha mountain,is a practice of cultural communication among young people and has a certain influence on their ideological beliefs.Based on cultural studies,this article from the concept of communication of two view,a vitual view and a transmission view,in virtual ethnography research method and Geertz's interpretation tool studies the youth camp life experience.First,the paper considers Experience Camp as students' participation in the process of meaning Shared ceremony,through the description of the composition and process of Experience Camp ceremony,and analyses the symbol characteristic of the ceremony,interpret the construction of community and the spiritual and cultural meaning shared by the youth.Second,the research studies The Experience Camp as a process of information transmission through the interview with the students experience camp,gradually clear camps object features,including transmitter,content,medium and receiver,thinking camps for students ideological beliefs influence mainly displays in the cultural level;Finally,the writer summarizes the Humanitarian Buddhism culture dissemination of youth human strategy lies in "spread by well-known mentor","interesting ways”,"content about daily life" and "spread purport of Buddha Art".However,we must realize that the Humanitarian Buddhist culture on the youth ideological and moral and personality cultivation play an active role at the same time also have certain negative influence,so the research also provides some suggestions for the current Chinese traditional cultural heritage.
