The group of calligraphers from Jiangxi province was mainly active in the Early Ming Dynasty as the most important regional group of calligraphers.At that time,the literati from Jiangxi province were mostly active in the literary circle and in the political circle,who had win the related leadership successively.In addition,most of them were good at calligraphy.They made friends with each other,which showed the strong regional characteristic of the style of the calligraphy.Therefore,the research on the group of calligraphers from Jiangxi province in the early Ming Dynasty plays a certain positive role.Firstly,the social background about the formation of the group of calligraphers from Jiangxi province was analyzed in this paper,including the stimulation of the group consciousness in the literary circle on that in the calligraphy circle in Jiangxi province,the promotion of the Official Selection System by Calligraphy on the development of the group of calligraphers from Jiangxi province,and the promotion of the political group advantage on the final formation of the group of calligraphers from Jiangxi province.Secondly,according to the corpora and works of the calligraphers from Jiangxi province,the structure of the group of calligraphers from Jiangxi province and the communication among them were studied.Due to this,the very close internal and external communication among them was presented,which provided strong evidence for the existence of this group.Thirdly,according to the works of calligraphers from Jiangxi province,the related treatises,and the temporal and later related review,the calligraphy art of the calligraphers from Jiangxi province was analyzed in detail to draw a conclusion that the calligraphers from Jiangxi Province imitated Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi by imitating the calligraphers from the Tang and Yuan Dynasties.Finally,the works of the calligraphers from Jiangxi province and the related treatises were analyzed longitudinally.It was found that,in the Early Ming Dynasty,the sign that the calligraphers from Jiangxi Province imitated those from the Song Dynasty,as well as their feature of not flattering magnates but imitating the ancients,was showed,which played an enlightening role in the calligraphy circle in the Middle and Late Ming Dynasty.
