Micro-course,a new teaching resource,has gained more attention from many scholars and experts with its brevity,convenience,and effectiveness in recent years.The effective combination of micro-course and subject teaching has become a research hotspot.Therefore,it is helpful to apply micro-course to high school English grammar class in order to enrich the teaching practice in this field.This thesis mainly discusses two questions about the application of micro-course to the English grammar teaching in high school: how to apply and what are the effects of application?The author carried out the research from September 2017 to December 2017,and chose a class in senior two from Chongqing No.42 middle school.The aim is to improve the self-learning ability of senior high school students,change their positive learning attitudes and enrich the grammar teaching practice in high school.Based on the theoretical basis of micro-course,the author established the detailed steps for the application of micro-course to the English grammar teaching in high school,then applied the micro courses respectively to pre-class,during-class and after-class.The author used the questionnaire survey to test the teaching effects and observe the performances of group discussion in class by using the classroom observation.The result shows that that micro-courses on grammar teaching are better than traditional grammar teaching ways,which can inspire students' interest in learning grammar,help improve the current situation of grammar learning and the self-learning abilities of students,Therefore,it is very effective to use the new teaching method of micro-course in English grammar teaching.According to the study,the author puts forward some feasible suggestions:Firstly,we should make full use of the advantages of the collective preparation in the whole grade so as to reduce the preparing pressure of lessons,and let all the English teachers involved in the design and production of micro lessons which attract the students' interest,meanwhile constantly improve the content of the micro class;Secondly,the training of education information technology for young teachers should be enhanced.The aim is to train young teachers to learn and use new teaching resources.Due to the limitation of objective factors of time,the results of experiment must be lack of universality and need further exploration,in order to take maximum advantage of micro lessons in English grammar teaching and research value.
