Listening, speaking, reading and writing are four basic skills in senior high school English learning.Writing,as a kind of language output ability,is one of the skills that can best reflect the comprehensive ability for language use. However, the current situation of high school English writing is not optimistic.Students often have various mistakes in English writing, resulting a low level of composition. In many writing mistakes, one of the mistakes often made by Chinese students is wrong lexical collocation.Vocabulary is the most basic element of language composition.lexical collocation is a derivative of vocabulary which plays a crucial role in language learning. In recent years, many scholars and linguists at home and abroad have conducted a series of studies to come up with effective solutions to solve this vexing problem. This study selects Hausmann's six vocabulary misclassifications with high degrees of authority, and conducts empirical research on vocabulary collocation mistakes in Senior one English writing. The purpose is to solve the following problems:(1)What is the distribution of six kinds of vocabulary collocation mistakes in the Senior One students' English writing?(2)What cause the errors?(3)What are the possible measures to improve vocabulary collocation errors in English writing? This study is based on Hausmann's six vocabularies classification and error analysis, and uses corpus and text analysis methods.First, the essays which collected three English exams in the No.1 middle school of university were converted into TXT format and a small corpora was established. The corpus retrieval tool used was AntConc3.4.4.Secondly,the author will analyze and mark each data in the corpus one by one according to my own experience and “Sentence Review Network”.The reference basis of the author's annotation is the fault labeling in the authoritative Chinese English Learner Corpus(CLEC).Finally, using AntConc3.4.4 to carry out a fixed collocation marker retrieval on the corpus, the error data were statistically classified, and the distribution of the six vocabulary collocations in English writing was calculated while the causes of these errors were analyzed, then corresponding teaching suggestions were proposed.A total of 903 vocabulary collocation errors were found in this study. The distribution of these collocation errors was not uniform, with verb + noun collocation errors appearing most frequently, accounting for 28% of the total vocabulary collocation errors;typical examples of vocabulary collocation errors in student writing Analysis, the author found that the specific causes of these collocation errors are: negative transfer caused by interference in the mother tongue;excessive generalization;lexical mis-election or absence and synonym interference. On this basis, the author consults a large number of documents and my own teaching experience during the internship, and puts forward strategies for high school students' English writing teaching:Pay attention to the influence of mother tongue in the teaching and learning of lexical collocation and understand differences between English and Chinese;Pay attention to the applications on lexical teaching and consolidate the foundation;Correct English writing errors in time and use corpus to actuate language learning.
