The report is a project report which mainly concerns English-Chinese interpretation.Entrusted by the International Education College of Guangxi University,the author assumed the consecutive interpreting task for educational cooperative talks between.Guangxi University and Middle Tennessee State University(MTSU)from 15th to 16th October,2017.Guangxi University and MTSU are two universities with quality education and profound history.This year has been the 6th year since these two universities started their cooperation,therefore,the interpreter felt very honored to help two universities to achieve more in their cooperation.The interpreter gained a lot of experience and skills through this educational talk consecutive interpreting practice.The interpreter wants to avail himself of this:interpreting experience and combine it with his own English-learning experience gained over many years.From the perspective of Cognitive Linguistics,the author analyzed this interpretation,wishing to offer more suggestions for MTI students or English-related practitioners.This report consists of five chapters,including introduction,pre-interpretation preparation,case study under the guidance of cognitive linguistic,interpreting quality evaluation and conclusion.The interpreter argues that language remains the foundation for interpreting and studies on language acquisition is of vital importance for studies on interpretation and interpretation pedagogy.Therefore,the interpreter took cognitive linguistics as a major perspective to study interpretation.
