Flute,as one of the traditional Chinese musical instruments,was produced more than 8,000 years ago and has a long history.The development of flute has also grown deeper and brighter with the passing of time.Its development has been accompanied with the wisdom and efforts of generations of flute musicians and composers.At the same time,the bamboo flute music of each era has its irreplaceable distinct musical style.Behind each style,the political call,the spiritual outlook and the people's lives in the contemporary era are also reflected.Bamboo flute,as an important part of Chinese folk music and Chinese traditional culture,deserves our exploration of each period of its development.Moreover,it is worthwhile to research and summerize the evolution process of its musical art in order that the theoretical system and research of the bamboo flute can be constantly improved.During the Cultural Revolution,the bamboo flute music art,as a special stage of the development of flute music,presented a unique style in this period which was closely related to the state of spiritual life in the country.The�cultural havoc" of the decade from 1966 to 1976 brought huge losses to the whole nation,both spiritually and materially.Some people totally reject the music of this period,while others simply ignore the music of this era.As to the disparity of the evaluation of music of this period,it is advisable to apply Marxist historical materialism to view and reflect on those issues in a dialectical way so that the development of music can be correctly guided.Most of the bamboo flute music of this period has strong vocative functions and class character.Although there are only a few music pieces of this period that can be traced and researched,the charm of the artistic particularity of this period could also be sensed if careful and close researches are conducted.Due to the sensitivity of the topic of the Cultural Revolution itself and the deficiency of data recording technology of this era,the researches of this period are very scarce.This article is based on the current situation of the lack of research on bamboo flute music during the Cultural Revolution and strives to supplement the exploration of bamboo flute music during this period.In order to record and improve the recording of the development of the bamboo flute,a systematic and in-depth exploration of the flute music during the Cultural Revolution is conducted based on the perspective of music art research.There are four chapters in this article:The first chapter summarizes and gives an overall introduction to the music development during the Cultural Revolution.The second chapter summarizes the characteristics of bamboo flute music at each stage of the Cultural Revolution,and records the contemporary flute musicians and flute products.The third chapter explores the impact of the Cultural Revolution on the bamboo flute music.Through the creation and dissemination of this period,it explores what inspiration has been brought to the development of flute music of later generations.Understanding the development of bamboo flute music during the Cultural Revolution has profound significance for us to objectively and correctly recognize the development of bamboo flute music as a whole and even its future development.As a saying goes:Reading history makes man wise and foresee the future by reviewing the past.Each period of history is a guiding light that indicates the direction of the future road.The lessons and conclusions of the development of the bamboo flute music during the Cultural Revolution make us more aware of the direction of the development of the bamboo flute in the future.Meanwhile,it also have implications on how the bamboo flute music can better give full play to its functions and how the flute music develops in the future.
