Bachuxing composed by Zhong Xinming is a concerto specially for Chinese bamboo flute. It contains three movements: fast-- slow – fast. It consists of three parts “the Past, Mountain Songs and the Festivals", which has the typical symphony sound all through the whole piece of music. This paper is based on the Concerto Bachuxing by professor Zhong Xinming from the Wuhan Conservatory of Music. From all range of views, the paper analyzes and studies the artistic features of the song with the practical playing experiences and personal understandings, linking theory with practice. The article deeply explains its regional characteristics, including the use of a large number of Xingshan three-degree sound, tone and folk songs, which strongly reflects Bachu regional music features. The song creates some Chinese bamboo flute music words. It uses many twelve-tone groups of sounds and the fast-playing chromatic scale, making Bachuxing a most difficult work. Bamboo Flute Concerto Bachuxing enhances the playing techniques of Chinese bamboo flute, on the term of the fingering and the traditional techniques and skills, integration with the South and the North. Above all Bachuxing tries a variety of high difficult skills different from that in other the traditional bamboo flute music.
