Since the film creation of the 19 th century,people have been calling it art or commodity,but it seems more appropriate to be named as a dissemination medium for its special identity.Film,used as a special medium,has created one after another classic role in the process of transmission and produced film stars generation after generation.And the characteristics of film media have attracted the attention of specific fan groups.On one level,it is the movie that makes up a group of "stars",but on the other hand,it is just different "fans" who have come to pay for their favorite "stars" and,in a sense,it is the "stars" that make the films as well.Therefore,just based on the link by fan groups between movie stars and movies,the cycle mode of mutual win and mutual benefit between them two has been established.Fan film is a new name that has just been used in recent years.Although scholars and many other people in media industry have reached a certain degree of consensus on it,still much of it is taken into account from the purpose of film production rather than from the perspective of fan groups.Therefore,this paper studies the identity construction of fan films and fan groups in order to analyze the influence of fan films on fan groups and how to construct their respective identities in this process.According to the various aspects of literature analysis for movie fans and identity,the paper has made a more comprehensive concept definition on it first,and then on the domestic development status quo of fan groups,doing a simple comb in combination with references and on the basis of the analysis from the viewpoint of the audience,and at the same time,the definition of fan groups having been deepened for a better understanding.The typical feature of a fan film is that fans love the movie excessively and tend to establish an emotional identity in the process of love.Since fan groups bear the division by individual or by group,this paper focuses on this research respectively both from the individual and from the group identity construction,whose features are both analyzed in detail about individual fans such as loyalty,enthusiasm and positive consumer characteristics and fan groups such as spontaneity,being organized,impulsivity,and the performance of collective reality.The article describes the specific practices of online and offline sharing of information,writing film reviews,innovative production and organizing related activities,and analyzes the psychological activities of the "fan" in this process and how the "fan group" divides,strengthens and optimizes the boundary in this process of distinguishing the group,and how to gradually establish theindividual identity and the group identity in the process.Finally,this paper also analyzes the influence of fan groups on fan films,and makes some little thoughts on the current situation of fan films.The study has found that with the development of the media and their inner needs,fan group's excessive love for movies cannot be met in real life,and the use of media has become an important means for fan groups to establish their identities.Fans are eager to establish emotional connections with others and gain recognition and approval from others.When "fans" as individuals cannot find this identity in real society,they will seek virtual cyberspace through the media for emotional release and sustenance,they will express themselves through various media means,spread their views,and reflect in the behavior of real life.At the same time,the carnival of the media has gradually led the "fans" to the entertainment industry,so that they have "entertainment worship" identity.Fan groups of movies are one of them who think the successful image of media text description as virtual,idealized self,and as their utmost goal.Fan groups yearn to become the ideal self and ceaselessly construct self identity and fan group identity in the process of emotional expression.Generally speaking,at present,the movie industry is more critical of "fan films" in China,and some film experts even take a completely negative attitude,believing that "fan films" are too commercial,and their contents are also relatively vulgar,and lack of artistic value.The causes of these problems lie in the poor quality of most "fan films" in China,including the lack of artistic value,and the bias of value orientation,and so on.In this paper,through analysis of such series of phenomena,the author precisely states the important role fan consumer behavior plays in the fan films,and how self fan and fan group identities are constructed as well.Meanwhile,this paper,aiming at the practical problems such as the abnormal consumption behavior of the "fans" and the influence on the film market,tries to provide some references for the localization and development orientation for China's film market.
