The Japanese director Yamada focuses on the daily life of the people at the bottom of the society as the style and theme of his films,and he is dubbed "the director of the plebeian.His work,a series of 48 episodes of the series,The Yin-Jiro;The Family trilogy---Family,Hometown and Compatriots;Two songs of love---The Call of Distant Mountains and The Yellow Handkerchief of Happiness;The School Trilogy---School 1,School 2 and School 3 all show a unique "plebeian perspective",which makes Yamada a rapid advance in Japanese film industry.In the 21 st century,Yamada has taken the Samurai Trilogy(Twilight Samurai,The Hidden Sword and The Samurai's Honor).Different from the Samurai images of high martial arts high,contempt for farmers,confrontation and desperate efforts in the Samurai films shot by director Kurosawa in the early stage,Yamada still narrates from a plebeian perspective narrative time,paying attention to the change of before and after the Meiji restoration,the bottom of the lower Samurai in Japanese culture at the core of "bushido" as the support of cultural depth and breadth,restoring and reconstructing the most faithful warrior image.Yamada's unique narrative position and performance made his Samurai movie "a masterpiece of Japanese film history that deserves to be remembered and respected".Based on the overall framework of Benedict's cultural pattern,this paper is based on the two big background of Samurai identity research in the films of Yamada-spirit of the Bushido and the reason why Yamada chose to shoot the Samurai Trilogy in plebeian view,assisted by the analytical method of the "text" and the meaning of"matrix" of structural narratology,it makes a detailed interpretation of the cultural identity of the Bushido in the films,and tries to restore the integrity and continuity behind the Samurai Trilogy,exploring its more profound cultural significance and Social care.The first chapter discusses the two basic backgrounds of the interpretation of Benedict's cultural pattern,namely,the historical tradition of bushido spirit and theselection of the individual psychological factors.Bushido culture source of mainly divided into three parts: religious factors,the Japanese culture,traditional Chinese culture as a traditional Japanese bushido culture essence of the core,it stipulates the Japanese samurai daily behavior and spiritual pursuit.Therefore,as a special study on identity issues in samurai films,it is necessary to first trace the origin of the spirit of bushido.Yamada individual selection,secondly discusses Yamada times in new one thousand,why do you choose the Samurai movie filming,and why "the trilogy" without exception,have adopted "the plebeian perspective" as the basic protection of narrative of the film background reading.The second chapter focuses on standing in the framework of cultural patterns,in "text" interpretation of manner,respectively,with Yamada "Trilogy" of traditional warrior interpret the embodiment of the identity.Among them,there are three specific admonitions about "loyalty and filial piety","resolute silence" and "fame".Different is about Yamada Samurai film study,this chapter studies the first Yamada Samurai movie "above" as the theory of belt way has carried on the integrity of the interpretation,broke the previous under the presupposition of the sheer mechanical corresponding instructions.The third chapter mainly analyzes the two situations in the narrative framework of Yamada.First of all,this paper analyzes the common narrative structure of Yamada's "trilogy" with the "significance matrix" of gremas,and finds its attention and recognition to the traditional samurai identity in this structure.This can be attributed to the "historical factor" of cultural patterns;Secondly,in addition,Yamada has arranged other "scattered narration" in his narrative strategy,trying to express the other side of the Samurai identity from the fact of life.This can be attributed to the "individual psychology" of cultural patterns.As a whole,the confrontation between the main narrative and the auxiliary line Narrows the alternative arrangement of Samurai's identity,which provides a basic opportunity for the dialogue between traditional identity and modern identity.The fourth chapter focuses on integration of text and narrative structure,this paper analysis in the era of alternating in traditional warrior identity and belief crisis inevitable reason.In this way,the modern care in the samurai movie was preset in the movie,and the dialogue of the traditional and modern identity was analyzed in the movie text.
