Analysis On Wang Qianyi's Piano Music Taccata

Toccata is an old ancient western subject matter,featuring fast rhythm and virtuosity."Wang Qianyi is a famous Chinese composer and educator.He worked in Shanghai Orchestra in 1980 and moved overseas 20 years ago.He has a large amount of nice art works,showing his talent on creation.Toccata is one of his piano representatives and one of most widely recognizedexcellent Chinese piano works.This paper will analyze music interpretation and performance skills of Wang Qianyi's Toccata.The writer will analyze Toccata from the perspective of features and background of creation,musical structure,and developing skills of materials,based on large amount of reading and personal performing experience.The research and introduction on this topic will help us to grasp the style and characteristics when playing the music with Toccata elements.
