| People gradually liked the piano since it has been introduced and developed in China as a Western musical instrument.In the meanwhile,a large group of excellent composers and piano players emerged and brought many outstanding piano works they created to the world.The Beauty of Yishan,Chen Yong’s famous piano suite,is based on the music of the Yi nationality in Chuxiong,Yunnan.The Yi nationality,with rich folk culture and music,is one of the most important national minorities in China.Chen Yong,a native of Yunnan,who is good at applying those folk materials into his works,showed the essence of the Yi culture to the world.The Beauty of Yishan is composed of five piano pieces,Singing on the rocks,Carriage of Yishan,The Story of Fireplace,Bonfire,Jumper.I study The Beauty of Yishan in this article with five chapters.The first chapter is about the research status of the works,the significance of the author’s research,and an introduction of the background.The second chapter is about the composer and the brief introduction of his creative achievements.The third chapter is about analyzing the composing technique of The Beauty of Yishan,including the analysis of the music structure,the feature of folk tune and the application of the Western composing techniques.The fourth chapter is about analyzing the performance techniques of each tune,especially the distinctive parts.The fifth chapter is a summary. |
