Working memory is the hub of individual cognitive activity.It is the main component of language processing and understanding.It is different from short-term memory.Working memory includes the temporary storage of information and information processing.It also and can extract the relevant information of the task from long-term memory.It is a limited energy system in the process of cognitive tasks,processing information and saving the current related information of the task.Working memory capacity is referred to working memory storage space.It has important relationship with cognitive language information processing.Ambiguity sentence as a common language phenomenon,the understanding of the ambiguous sentence processing also has important relationship with the size of the working memory capacity.My article adopts the method of experiment,from the perspective of cognitive processing of psychology,to research the relationship between working memory capacity and the understanding of the ambiguous sentence.According to the result of the research,it inspires the teaching ambiguity sentence and provides the new research perspective.This paper will be divided into five parts:The first part is introduction,mainly from two aspects,selected topic background and research significance to carry out in this paper.The second part is the literature review,mainly from the theory and research of working memory,the research and the concept of ambiguous sentences,and the related research between working memory and ambiguous sentence three aspects to review.The third part is the research results and data of experiment,by using experimental study to measure the subjects' size of the working memory capacity and the ambiguous sentence comprehension.Experimental design is improved on the basis of previous studies,using the two factors mix design,and the experiment data is sorted out.The fourth part is the analysis and discussion of experimental results.From the perspective of different disciplines and different gender,analysis subjects' differences in working memory capacity and the understanding of the ambiguous sentence,reveal the relationship between the working memory capacity and the understanding of the ambiguous sentence.The fifth part is the significance of experimental research and the future prospect of the related studies.A linguistic hypothesis is verified by experimental research.It confirmed that there is a real relationship between working memory capacity and the understanding of the ambiguous sentence.And according to the research results of this experiment,gives the suggestions on teaching of ambiguous sentences.At the same time,point out the defects of the experiment and offer reference for future studies.From the perspective of second language,look forward to the future language study.At last,I think the research on this article to expects to promote the language study from all levels and multidimensional angles.
