Hunan Flower Drum Opera Singing Art Research

This article is a study of the Flower Drum Opera,which was selected for the national intangible cultural heritage list in 2008.It focuses on the deep study of the singing art of Hunan Flower Drum Opera and has developed from the folk songs and dances to the two plays,the three plays and then to the Daben plays which has a long histor and tradition over 200 years.At the same time,it has gone through the development process from simple to complicated.The Flower Drum Opera is originall based on mountain songs,folk songs and humming,so there are only a few simple tunes,and finally they are relatively integrated into the simple and stable drama of the story.The demand for the drama is getting higher and higher,the plot of the drama more and more complicated,and the emotion of the characters richer,but all of them need to be conveyed perfectly.So the initial minor gradually joined the gongs,drums,the suona and so on,and finally becomes the "Gong and drum brand" and "walk sign" which is known for us.Widely spreaded,it has blended with other kinds of drama in Hunan,and gradually evolved as "Gong Luo cavity" and "Chuan tune".With the continuous spread and development,the melody is getting better and better and the form of singing richer and diversified.The diversified rhythm and rich emotion can be sung by male voice and female voice in a variety of tunes respectively.However,there is difference in the structure of these tunes,the way of expression,the techniques of singing,and the instruments used for accompaniment.The Hunan Flower Drum Opera,gradually evolved on the basis of the Lantern Opera and Drum Opera in Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty,has absorbed the essence of folk art,which makes the melody and style diverse and has the local characteristics.So close to life it is that the Opera attracts countless enthusiasts and becomes the most popular in Hunan province.This article studies the development course of Hunan Flower Drum Opera,the way of dialect singing and various kinds of moistening cavities,and summarizes the basic characteristics of the language and the singing of the opera and thus the problems of articulation in national vocal music and Runqiang.The advantages of the opera will be absorbed into the national vocal music.The national vocal music has also been nourished in the style of the Flower Drum Opera,and draws the essence of the singing,and draws their artistic features.China Conservatory of Music even put the classics of Flower Drum Opera into teaching materials,so it is good to learn and absorb the style of Hunan Flower Drum Opera as a national vocal music singer,which has become the self-conscious pursuit of the national vocal performers and learners.
