The Research On Zhou Gongchen's History Of Vegetation About Li Sao

History of Vegetation about Li Sao,produced in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty,is a monograph on the study of Chu Ci,which completed by Zhou Gongchen in his later years.He used distinctive annotation styles,called Vegetation as“history”,expressed sincere patriotic heart at the same time,and was full of the sustenance of personal life.In addition,under the influence of his literary attainment,Zhou Gongchen paid attention to the comment on artistic features on the work of Qu Yuan and Song Yu,Zhou Gongchen' book has distinctive features.Besides the introduction and conclusion,this research mainly includes the following four parts:The first chapter discusses the author and the writing problems of History of vegetation about Li Sao.On the one hand,on the basis of referring to Yang He and other scholars' research results,the author approaches Zhou Gongchen' home and life,friends and books according to the collected relevant information,for this reason to understand Zhou Gongchen's special life circumstances;On the other hand,this paper explores the book forming problem from four aspects of writing styles,reasons called“history”,background of book formation,and circulated versions,besides understanding the overall structures and versions,which investigates the causes of annotating Chu Ci by Zhou Gongchen and the emotional mood under the reality of country defeated and home lost.The second chapter expounds the explanation of vegetation concerning History of Vegetation about Li Sao.First of all,based on untangling the range of explanation of vegetation about Li Sao and Zhou Gongchen's book,the paper investigates the Zhou Gongchen's inheritances and inventions on Chu Ci;Secondly,through analysing the text,the author explores characteristics of explanation of vegetation,which consist of proving to use books,implicit praise or criticism and explicating truth;Finally,this paper analyses vegetation existing different opinions in Zhou Gongchen's book,such as “lotus”,“mugwort”,“thatch”,“pinkweed”,and so on,which is for the reason to study Zhou Gongchen' writing intention on explanation of vegetation.The third chapter discusses the problems of implied meaning and Qu Yuan'remodeling on History of Vegetation about Li Sao.By studying the analysis of the text,based on exploration of traditional “historical consciousness”of “history into Li Sao”,this paper researches Zhou Gongchen,in the context of changing Dynasties,called vegetation as “history”,implied the meaning of praising goodness and displaying evil at the same time,and placed on the Confucian “righteousness between monarch and his minister”.In addition,on the basis of carding the traditional image of Qu Yuan,the author discusses Zhou Gongchen's definition about Qu Yuan's personality spirit of“querulous admonition” and “admonition of corpse”,which reflects Zhou Gongchen's“Qu Yuan complex” as an ethnic person of ideals and integrity.The fourth chapter analyzes the exegesis achievements and annotated shortcuts of History of Vegetation about Li Sao.Under the influence of academic atmosphere on changes and innovations,Zhou Gongchen's book inherited critically previous research results,used full style of writing and method of subjective perception,paid attention to the interpretation,also expanded the ideas and methods of descendants' annotation on the work of Qu Yuan and Song Yu,but it had the disadvantages such as eisegesis and wrong quotation,and so on.However,one flaw cannot obscure the splendor of the jade,in general,History of Vegetation about Li Sao has distinctive annotation and profound influence.
