It was an important turning point in the history of the British navy from 1793 to1815.During this period the British navy in ship design, batteries, and fleet deployment, the crew management and cultivation,Marine management,as well as the construction of naval base and the reform of medical system has made great progress. At the same time, the British navy has changed its tactics. It no longer sticks to rigid combat rules.Instead,it combines its own reality with a decentralized, maneuverable approach that gives each captain the maximum autonomy. Its naval strategy has also undergone a fundamental shift, from the initial destruction of the enemy fleet to strategic deterrence and naval blockade.During this period,Britain not only established an unchallenged maritime hegemony, but also took a leading position in colonial expansion and foreign trade.Britain was the first country to bring the sea power to its extreme. The world order, which was dominated by Britain after 1815,was founded on the basis of sea power. But from 1793 to 1815,the British navy did not have a very clear outline of naval architecture. There is no complete and self-contained naval architecture theory. And then the British naval policy was flexible and focused on the combination of experience and practice. The British naval construction from 1793 to 1815 strengthened the British navy. And laid the foundation for the victory of the Napoleonic wars. The construction of the British navy increased the cohesion of the whole British society, promoted the process of the industrial revolution and promoted the prosperity of the British economy. In general, the British navy before 1793 had been striving for maritime supremacy. After 1815,the British navy had a maritime hegemony. These two decades have been an important turning point in the history of British naval development.
