The Effect Of Power And Action Or Not On Anticipated Regret

This present research mainly explored the impact of power and action or not on anticipated regret by two studies.Study 1 used the questionnaire method to explore the relationship between the individual's general sense of power and action or inaction anticipated regret.Study2 used experimental methods to examine the impact of power and action or not on anticipated regret by manipulating individuals' power level through role-playing method.The results showed that action or not had a significant effect on anticipated regret,and compared with inaction,the negative results brought by action were more regretful for the individual.Additionally,power is negatively correlated with anticipated regret.But power did not affect anticipated regret significantly,whether in action or inaction condition.
