A Study On Means Of Chinese Interrogative Expressions In 18^th-19^thEuropean Sinology Works

The 18th-19th century is a period of vigorous development of cross-cultural communication between China and foreign countries.Language is the most important and direct bridge in this process.This period is the mature period of the development of European Sinology,and a group of professional Chinese learners and researchers-Sinologists and their Sinology works have emerged.A study on these Sinolgy works will offer a new exotic perspective for the research of Chinese grammar;also link the benefits to the field of Teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL).The article selects nine Sinology works as a research objects among 18-19th Western Sinology.The paperfocus on the typological characteristicsof Chinese interrogative expressions,which is described in nine Sinology works.The content of this article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.The second chapter explores the development and evolution of Chinese interrogativelexical expressionsin western Sinology.Chapters 3 and 4 are respectively from the perspective of interrogative syntax expressions and the comparation of interrogative exprssions among different languages.The fifth chapter puts the research into practical use.The paper hopes to make a supplement to the current grammar research on Chinese interrogatives and teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The paper tries to present the whole process and staged results of the interrogative features embodied in the WesternSinology works and make contribution to the practical teaching in TCFL.
