Analysis Of The Playing Techniques Of Bill Evans's Work?Waltz For Debby?

Bill Evans,one of the most influential jazz pianists of all time,changed the playing techniques of jazz piano and influenced many of the best jazz pianists in the process,including Herbie Hancock,Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett.The Waltz for Debbie is one of Bill Evans' s most famous works and the most influential and representative works of the present trio.This article is discussed through three chapters: the first chapter briefly describes the life of Bill Evans;the second chapter analyzes the musical features of his works from several aspects;the third chapter expounds the playing techniques needed to play "The Waltz to Debbie".Through the study of this paper,the author tries to combine theoretical and practical experience to provide the reference of overall analysis of the work and playing skills for the vast number of students who love jazz music.
