Butterfly-Zheng,named because of its shape,was designed by He Baoquan,professor of shanghai Conservatory of music in 1980.It's presence was an inevitable outcome of the current era and it was supposed to be widely chased in the field of Zheng.However,the prevalence of this newly-designed instrument has not been achieved.What's behind this? Is the saying real that the Butterfly-Zheng will replace the original Zheng? Does the current society need this kind of instrument? What is its value?
