Analysis Of Lin Fengmian's Color Ink Painting Style

Lin Fengmian is an important figure in modern Chinese color ink painting,and also the creator and practitioner of the idea of conciliating between Chinese culture and western culture.His unique style radiates special charms.Western painting and the traditional classification of Chinese painting can not be limited to a single area,Lin Fengmian's unique paintings are the combination of Chinese and western.His colorful ink paintings have a wide range of contents including ladies,flowers,birds and scenery,everyone of which has their own characteristics.What he inherited was not Chinese literati painting,but the tradition of folk art:drawing the fresh vitality of folk art from folk stone carving,mural painting,porcelain plate painting,shadow painting and so on.Lin Feng-mian's color ink painting style has undergone historical changes of half a century.What kind of integration and changes has it experienced in practice?How to make a subtle impact on modern Chinese art?And what is its value for art education in China?The in-depth study of these problems will be very conducive to our analysis and thinking of other contemporary art issues.This paper studies the origin,the development process and the achievement of the color ink paintings of Lin Fengmian,which is divided into four parts.First,through the analysis of Lin's life and the background of the times,and the style of Lin Fengmian's works are analyzed in different periods according to the time sequence,so as to better understand the changing process of his style.Secondly,his paper analyzes the formation of Lin Fengmian's artistic thought of "reconciling China and the West" and the influence of Yang Sith and Cai Yuanpei on it,how this influence is reflected in the artistic practice of Lin Fengmian's color ink painting is also analyzed.Thirdly,Lin Fengmian uses color to show his perception of the world.He applys this color to Chinese painting boldly,develops color,shape and composition on his own.By analyzing the composition,modeling,line and color of Lin Fengmian color ink paintings,this paper tries to understand the linguistic significance of his paintings.Finally,it summarizes the position of Lin Fengmian's color ink paintings in the field of modern art.They have not only the important influence on the development of Chinese painting,but the inspiration to the contemporary art innovation education.The author collected parts of Lin Fengmian picture album and read a large number of related books and documents,through image analysis combined with literature review,finally summed up the research results of this paper.The paper carries on the multi-angle,omni-directional thorough inquiry to his works.Analyzing Lin Fengmian's color ink works through his creative track and life experience,can we more deeply understand the ideal of harmony between China and the West and his pursuit of simple,balanced,indifferent art.Finally,the article analyzes the realistic significance of Lin Feng-mian 's theory of reconciling China and the West and the art education thought of all-embracing,integrating Chinese and Western.We should learn from the Western painting techniques,materials and even modeling,composition of the correct attitude should be based on the national tradition as the starting point,the pursuit of Chinese traditional culture innovation and development.This will be conducive to the benign development of fine arts,lay a more solid foundation and assimilate the excellent cultural achievement in the national culture.
