A Study Of Lin Fengmian's Artistic Thoughts About The Harmony Of Chinese And Western

Harmony of Chinese and western is the most important artistic thought of Lin Fengmian.This thought has the distinct characteristic in the 20 th century Chinese and western art great discussion current and has a great influence on the later development of art.Lin Fengmian's harmony of Chinese and western aims to find the similarities and differences between Chinese and western art,and harmonized traditional Chinese folk art with western modern art,thus providing a new way for the modern transformation of Chinese traditional art.In today's global integration,between Chinese and the world culture has a more in-depth exchanges and collisions,how to maintain Chinese national features on the premise of absorption of other national cultural connotation and artistic elements to enrich and develop the art career in our country as a contemporary new proposition,it is this proposition that has promoted the in-depth study of Lin Fengmian's artistic thought of harmony of Chinese and western in recent years.This paper adopts the methods of literature review and work analysis to carry out a multidimensional and multifaceted research on Lin Fengmian's artistic thought of harmony of Chinese and western from three aspects: cultural context,formation and development,and internal logic.The first part mainly aims the historical and cultural context in which Lin Fengmian's artistic thought of harmony of Chinese and western came into being.It shows the condition of the fierce collision and deep exchange of western culture in junior middle school in the late 19 th and 20 th centuries from three aspects,namely,eastward learning,cultural selection and artistic trend.The second part mainly combines Lin Fengmian's personal experience to study the formation process of his artistic thought of harmony of Chinese and western from its bud to its definite viewpoint and then to its artistic practice.The third part mainly explains the inner logic of Lin Fengmian's harmony of Chinese and western artistic thought from the three aspects of harmony foundation,harmony path and harmony goal.The conclusion part summarizes the basic viewpoints of Lin Fengmian's artistic thought of harmony of Chinese and western,the essential differences with other theories of harmony,and its historical value and contemporary significance.
