Exploring The Freehand Brushwork Of Su Baijun's Meticulous Flower And Bird Painting

Su Baijun plays a significant role in the contemporary Chinese meticulous flower and bird painting industry.His painting style is fresh,elegant and interesting.Su Baijun's flower-and-bird painting works combine the two techniques of craftsmanship and dexterity,that is,there are traditional old-fashioned styles and new-age painting language and expression techniques.His style is different from other contemporary meticulous flower and bird painting.As a student who study Chinese flower and bird painting,I study Su Baijun's paintings as my graduate thesis,and I was deeply attracted and admired by Su Baijun's painting features.First,Su Baijun's works not only retains the outstanding traditional connotation of Chinese paintings and birds and flowers,but also has the contemporary and contemporary painting language.Second,his works has a strong sense of nature and a new era of text without limit to the fine outlines of the meticulous paintings.The "freehand brushwork" in Su Baijun's meticulous flower and bird painting in this thesis mainly refers to two aspects: On the one hand,the freehand brushwork in the painting language mainly tends to the literary freehand brushwork which is different from the traditional brushwork method;On the other hand the freehand brushwork in creative thinking is not the general subjective emotion,but the thought and emotion with deep cultural cultivation.This article is divided into five chapters: The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly relates to the introduction of Su Baijun's art history.The second chapter is to analyze the freehand brushwork in the meticulous flower and bird paintings,explaining the concept of freehand brushwork and its specific performance in the meticulous flower and bird paintings.Chapters 3 and 4 are the focus of this paper.The third chapter explores the expression of freehand brushwork in the artistic characteristics of Su Baijun's works of meticulous flowersand birds through the in-depth interpretation of Su Baijun's painting style and the specific expression of freehand brushwork in the modeling,composition and tinting painting language.Chapter 5 explores the expression of freehand brushwork in Su Baiji's creative thinking.The fifth chapter is an epilogue about the artistic value and influence of Su Baijun's works on meticulous flowers and birds.
