Taoism has great courage to face death.Taoism studied the living and death issue from the relation between human and nature,standing at the level of Tao to research the living and death and to master the essence of death,the nature of death.What's more,the Taoism let people know the living and death is decided by “Tao”.Therefore,Zhuang Zi had systematically studied the death.Starting from the unity of Tao and human,he put living and death into the process of Tao circle and described the essence of death from material and spirit to further enerate a philosophy to surpass death.Basged on the master of essence of Zhuang Zi's death philosophy,the paper has comparatively discussed the basic content of death philosophy from Zhuang Zi.The whole paper is consist of four parts.The first part focused on the issue of death from Zhuang Zi's view on death and Zhuang Zi's living circle.Besides,it analyzed the Zhuang Zi's thought on the origin of death matter from Zhuang Zi's chance to death and death discussion by all masters.The second part is to analyzed the essence of death philosophy by Zhuang Zi,from the journey of dead life,the Qi from living and death,the unity of Tao and human respectively.The third part is to state how to conquer the death,to experience Tao,then to keep reasonable for death and thus to reach the state,regarding living and death as the same and no scare of death.The last part talked about the inspirations on today's people from Zhuang Zi's death philosophy.The first one is not to be slaved by things and the second is to let people establish a reasonable death value while ignoring death and make people more relaxing to live in the real world.
