The vocabulary recognition is the most fundamental task for people to obtain word meaning during the process of reading.Obtaining word meaning is the ultimate goal of reading. The vocabulary has three basic attributes, there are form, sound and meaning. In the process of vocabulary recognition, the role of speech and shape information has always been a concern in the field of linguistics and cognitive linguistics. What channel do people use to get word meaning? Different research results support different theoretical perspectives and there are always divergences and disputes between these theoretical perspectives. Therefore, the method and impacts of the influence of glyphs and pronunciation on vocabulary recognition are still hot issues in current research. Now there are three most representative vocabulary recognition theories: phonologically mediated theory, direct access theory, and dualroute theory. This study aims to further explore these theories by exploring the activation effects of speech and shape information in lexical recognition. In this study, three different experiments were designed by using the Eye Movement Recording method. The first experiment using two different methods, there are listening and seeing.Mongolian college students were tested and Mongolian words were used as experimental materials to examine the activation conditions and the role of voice and shape information in vocabulary recognition when Mongolian students' recognition of Mongolian(mother tongue)words in different types of words, characters, and characters. On the basis of experiment1,Experiment2 replaced the experimental materials and used Chinese words as experimental materials to examine the activation of the different types of words, speech sounds, and shapes of Mongolian students in recognition of Chinese(second language)words.Experiment 3 using the Han nationality students as subjects and Chinese words as experimental materials to investigate the activation of word sounds, forms, and meanings and the role of voice and shape information in vocabulary recognition when Han students identify Chinese(mother tongue)words. Finally,a double comparison analysis was performed to identify differences in different languages. In the experiment, the main eye movement indicators such as first fixation time, total reading time and number of fixations are selected. The following results were obtained: Under the listen and see two different startup methods, phonetic word experimental results support the theory of speech mediation when the Mongolian college students recognized the mother tongue. When Mongolian college students identify Chinese(second language)words, the experimental results support the phonologically mediated theory because influenced by their mother tongue. When Han college students identify Chinese(mother tongue)words, the experimental results of ideograph support the direct access theory. Therefore,it can be found that in the native language from different character systems, there will be different cognitive styles in the process of speech recognition. In the vocabulary recognition, the different start-up methods affect the activation sequence of speech and shape information, and the use of native language and text type will not affect the experimental results.
