Traditional Chinese painting art has a long history,has the profound connotation of art,culture and philosophy.For example,concepts of fiction and fact,Scenes of the realm and blank-leaving in Chinese landscape paintings both have profound connotation of aesthetics and philosophy.Under the attack of market economy and the impact of western painting,traditional Chinese painting art has many challenges,in this case many contemporary artists have carried out the "new ink painting","experimental ink painting","modern ink painting art" innovation,but these artistic did not grasp the essence of Chinese landscape painting.Actually,Chinese painting meet many challenges in the early 20 th century.Only a few special painters like Jin Cheng and Chen Shizeng explored and grasped the development of the art of paintings in the long history.Chen Shaomei not only facsimiled from the ancients but also came up with innovative ideas that the southern school and the northern school both have advantages.He advocated "study deeply in traditional and absorb new knowledge" and learned many painting techniques from Guo Xi,Ma Yuan,Xia Gui as well as Liu Songnian.Finally,he formed the artistic style of vigorous and pure cleanliness.I combine Chen Shaomei's era background and career path,analysis the reasons of the formation of his artistic style from four aspects.One of the reasons is that the hometown landscape and family strong cultural environment have influence on him.Another reason is that his teacher's gave him many knowledge and guidance in all aspects.Besides,he facsimiled lots of paintings of the ancients and Mastered the traditional painting techniques.A further reason is that he is good at thinking and formed his unique concept of combining ideas of the southern school and the northern school.Connecting my theoretical knowledge with Chen Shaomei's paintings.I summarized his artistic styles for vigorous and pure cleanliness by analyzing the composition and characteristics of his paintings.Research Chen Shaomei landscape painting has realistic meaning and value.So,in the development of contemporary traditional painting art,we can draw lessons from Chen Shaomei landscape painting's style and understand how to inherit the successful experience of Chinese landscape paintings,analyse and think about how to promote the development of traditional Chinese painting innovation of the present.
