The animation is a part of the tertiary industry.With the rapid development of digital technology and gradual deepening of influence of diversified art styles and forms,it constantly intensifies the competition in the animation industry,and also makes the creators lay ever more stress on the importance of visual effect of the animation.At present,the domestic animation market is filled with American and Japanese animation;and the domestic animators are eager to break through the status quo,but lack innovation consciousness and visual expression.Anyway,they begin to recognize the fact that the advantage of visual modeling artistic language starts to emerge in the animation creation,which combines creation elements of the self-national culture.It doesn't only enrich the artistic quality of the animation,but also shows the various personality characteristics of the creator.The diversity of style is also the innovative breakthrough that animators have been pursuing.In this context and from the perspective of application of flat design in the figurative space of animation scenes,the thesis comprehensively adopts some methods,including literature analysis,observation method,and case analysis,to collect systematically the data on the relevant literatures and theories.In addition,it details such conceptions as "Animation Scenes," "Style of Animation Scenes","Decorative Style","Figurative Space",and,"Planarization".Then it further summarizes and sorts out the application advantages of the planarization for the animation scenes figurative space on the levels of enhancement of the visual expression characteristics,optimization of scene functions and simplification of technical application methods.Consequently the thesis points out 3 principles:First,reinforce the features of visual expression by increasing the strength of expression in the field of overall structure,modeling features and the rhythm of the screen color;Second,optimize the scene functions by facilitating spatial creation&character movement and highlighting the environmental features;Third,simplify the ways of technique application by weakening the perspectives during drawing,utilizing different scenes in a layered manner and efficiently integrating the hand painting and the digital technologies.Based on the analysis above,the thesis draws the following conclusions on the flat design of the animation scenes figurative space.Step one,Style Orientation.Select the suitable theme according the story,make up the overall structure by composing the picture,and highlight the modeling features by pattern selection.And then lay the environmental keynote according to the color so as to determine the style orientation of animation scenes;Step two,Technique of Expressions.Improve the effectiveness of the planarization by weakening aerial perspective,simplifying the picture structure,generalizing the pattern shape and emphasizing the color block boundaries;Step three,Rendering of effects.Present the plastic effect of the animation scenes figurative space,the order sense of spatial layout and the sense of rhythm of the color effect by style positioning and technique of expressions.To further illustrate the above viewpoint,this thesis selects the successful designing case of The Wonderful Journey Scene and conducts a practical discussion and exploration on planarization design of representation space in animation scene by analyzing the weaken from the space perspective,simplifying the structure of decent generalization,and summarizing design modelling&color reinforcement of planarization effect,which not only provides the practice basis for the neutrality of this thesis,but also lays a foundation for further research in the future.In the end,this paper summarizes the research results and looks forward to the future of domestic animation.
