After the founding of the Ming dynasty,garrison was established throughout the country.In quanzhou district,quanzhou wei is established in the background of the national rifeness.The other garrisons in quanzhou were established to strengthen the coastal defense.In the Ming dynasty,the peril of Japanese pirates were very serious,and the Japanese invaders often violated China's southeast coastal areas.In order to strengthen the construction of coast defence,Ming taizu sent jiangxihou zhoudexing to patrol fujian during hongwu's reign.In quanzhou district,the establishment of the yongningwei,fuquan garrison,the gaopu garrison,the middle and left garrison,the jinmen and chongwu garrison were built on the coast to protect the area from the Japanese invaders.There are three main tasks of quanzhou garrisons,they respectively were garrison's army farmed food for themselves,protected the local people from smuggling and defending the land.In the Ming dynasty,the situation of tuntian in quanzhou distric was not ideal,and the number of tuntian,the number of soldiers in tuntian and the number of food in tuntian were decreasing,and the three were positively correlated.One of the main functions of quanzhou garrison's armyt was to ban the private sea trade,prevent the smuggling of commercial people.The Ming dynasty implemenedt the haijin policy.During the period of longqing,the sea was loosened,but the people were forbidden to go to sea for most of the Ming dynasty.Banning the people from going to sea,but in fact cannot prevent people from smuggling trade with foreign countries,In the smuggling of trade,there are also people who seduce the Japanese,The garrison's army was an important force in preventing the smuggling of commercial people.It is necessary to strictly prevent the smuggling of commercial people and catch the smugglers.In quanzhou district,there are many mountains and few fields,and thieves often hanged out.The garrison's army and local armed forces needed to patrol and protect local security.The cultural atmosphere of quanzhou district was very strong,and most of garrison's army liked books,which provided a good learning environment for people to learn.In such a cultural environment,the garrison's army of quanzhou distric in the imperial examinations and Wu Ju exam could emerge from the mansion in fujian,quanzhou garrison's army number runked first in fujian.In addition,there are many temples in quanzhou district,Including the city of garrison.and different shrines have different sacrificial objects and contents.In the process of sacrificial rites,they reflected the folk cultural beliefs of military and civilian people in the city.
