A Study On The Temporal And Spatial Preposition In Yueqing Dialect

This paper takes the temporal and spatial prepositions of Yueqing dialect as the object of study,study via the method of describing and inducing.The whole paper is divided into five chapters:Preface.Firstly,it introduces the geography and history of Yueqing City as well as its dialect,the research outcomes of Yueqing and its neighboring courtiers,dialect,and the Yueqing dialect phonetic system.Secondly,this paper reviews the research,including the prepositions in Mandarin and in Chinese dialects.And then,this paper explains the research purpose,significance,methodology.Finally,this paper explains corpus sources and symbol explanation.The first chapter makes a detailed description and analysis about the monosyllabic prepositions of the temporal and spatial prepositions in Yueqing dialect.According to the semantics,the temporal and spatial prepositions is divided into four types including:"zai(?),prepositions,"dao(?)" prepositions,"cong(?)"prepositions,direction prepositions."zai(?)"prepositions include:"su(?)""shi(?)""ge(?)";"dao(?)" prepositions include:"lai(?)" "zou(?)";"cong(?)" prepositions include:"su(?)","shi(?)";direction preposition includes "wang(?)".This chapter describes the grammatical meanings,sources,and the usage of each monosyllable preposition.The second chapter makes a detailed description and analysis about compound synonymous prepositions of the temporal and spatial prepositions in Yueqing dialect.The compound synonymous prepositionsr in Yueqing dialect can be divided into"zai(?)”compound synonymous prepositions and "dao(?)" compound synonymous prepositions."zai(?)" compound synonymous prepositions include:"sushi(??)""suge(??)""shige(??)""sushige(???)";"dao(?)"compound synonymous preposition includes:”laige(??)".This chapter separately describes the grammatical meaning and usage of each compound synonym.The third chapter makes a detailed description and analysis about the special usage of the temporal and spatial prepositions in Yueqing Dialect.The compound words formed by the temporal and spatial prepositions can be subdivided into existential verbs "shilai(??)""shidi(??)""shigou(??)""shihou(??)",reduced prepositional phrase "shidi(??)""shigou(??)""shihou(??)""sudi(??)""sugou(??)""suhou(??)",and aspect markers "sulai(??)""sudi(??)""shilai(??)""shidi(??)""shigou(??)""shihou(??)".This chapter separately describes the grammatical meaning and usage of each special compound word.Conclusion.Summarizes the main content of this paper as well as indicates the innovations and weaknesses of this paper,and put forward some tentative ideas for the investigation and study of related problems in the future.
