In contemporary Chinese language context,Liu Xiaofeng was the first one to propose the term “narrative ethics” in the book The Unbearable Body, believing that narrative ethics does not explore the general principles of life and the basic moral values that human life should follow, but about the life stories of personal experience, through personal experienced narratives to present life feeling issues. This paper focuses on Hong Ying's novels and intends to analyse from three key words--trauma,women,individual,using narrative ethics, and find out the possibilities of different kinds of life in Hong Ying's world. This paper consists of three chapters: chapter one is about trauma in Hong Ying's works, which is closely connected with her own experience and is an inspection of self life: trauma of hunger and parental complex.Chapter Two focuses on female characters recurred in Hong Ying's novels, describing their lives and imagining how they can live in the future.First section is to explore the fate of women including female growth,sisterhood,mother-daughter relationship and lesbian;second section is sexual relationship, referring to spousal relationship and extramarital affair. This chapter is trying to analyse the unique life feelings of women.Chapter Three is devoted to individuals, narrating that Hong Ying's narrative ethic is historic narration from the perspective of individual ethic.First section is marginal people who are the central figures in Hong Ying's writing;second section is human being in history which consists of reflections of historical movement and ideas about future conflicts.Last is the conclusion: how to tell history, only through individuals' insisting on speaking.Hong Ying's novels, from self-inspection,importance of female life to individualistic historical narration, all depict different kinds of unique life feelings and is an ethical narration, which is Hong Ying's narrative ethic.
