Poetry and music are two brilliant pearls in Muse temple,they origin together and affect each other like a pair of twins.As a model of early poetry,The Book of Songs is thought to be both poetry and ballad,showing the lofty artistic realm of harmony between poetry and music,resonance of rhythm,poetry and beauty.However,the study of The Book of Songs has been mainly confined to two basic thinking paths and research paradigms: One,regarding the Book of Songs as an interpretation of Confucian classics;Second,regarding it as poetry,and explore its literature(poetics)value.While the study of musicology perspective,is very lacking.Based on the texts of The Book of Songs,this dissertation makes a comprehensive study of the combination between comparative literature,musicology,especially the theory of Chinese traditional music,aesthetics and other multidisciplinary studies Method,combined with the earliest ancient verses of The Book of Songs and related historical documents,deeply dig into the comprehensive artistic value of The Book of Songs in order to enrich the study of The Book of Songs.This dissertation includes the following sections:The introduction part summarizes the research history of The Book of Songs,and summarizes the value of this paper.The first chapter discusses the relationship between The Book of Songs and music.This chapter introduces the origin of poetry and music from the same origin at the time of artistic origin,and then cites and combs the relevant historical documents,analyzing the music records of those poems,the musical occasions,the plays and the ancient music scores.The second chapter,based on the text of The Book of Songs,analyzes the music features of The Book of Songs and discusses the musical elements of The Book of Songs with the relevant historical materials and ancient scores.This chapter begins with the following six aspects:The listening comprehension of The Book of Songs,rhyming style,rhythm of music,melodic style,musical features and musical rhetoric.The third chapter discusses the cooperation of poem art and folk art in The Book of Songs,explores and finds out the lofty art realm of The Book of Songs with harmony,rhythm and resonance,poetry and beauty.Chapter IV discusses the cultural spirit and profound connotation of poetry and music.The conclusion summarizes the music features of The Book of Songs,the way of combining poetry and folk art,and the cultural spirit of poetry and music.While enriching the study of The Book of Songs,this article will help those who are later to deepen their understanding of The Book of Songs.For more than two thousand years,the artistic spirit of poetry and beauty has invisibly influenced and shaped the aesthetic mechanism of the Chinese and become the common aesthetic ideal in our genes.
