Junior Three is a key stage for the review of the Senior High School Entrance Examination and mock test plays an important role during this stage,which is used to see what students have known and haven't known.The correction of mock test papers is a necessary part and it's actually a kind of feedback from teachers.The use of proper correction way can better achieve effective feedback.The most widely used correction way is the whole class correction,which has advantages but also disadvantages.For example,the time interval is too long and the effect is below expectation.With the development of new curriculum reform,there are some new correction ways,such as peer correction,selected correction,self-correction and correction face-to-face-with teachers.The use of long-term single correction way may cause some problems.Students may hold a negative attitude towards mock tests and not pay great attention to their mistakes.The author integrated different kinds of correction ways in this study to investigate whether the use of integrated correction way can improve this situation.Based mainly on the feedback effect theory,the author tried to improve the correction way of English mock tests in Junior Three in order to achieve teacher's effective feedback during the review stage.The study aims to address the following three questions.(1)Which kind of correction way for English mock test papers can improve students' English proficiency in Junior Three,the single whole class correction or the integrated correction way?(2)In what aspects does the integrated correction way for English mock test papers influence students' learning process?(3)How can English teachers give effective feedback to Junior Three students by correcting their mock test papers?In order to answer the above research questions,the author set 64 students as subjects and they were students from Class 11 and Class 12 of Shenzhen Guangming New District Experimental School in Guangdong Province during her teaching practice.By mock test paper analysis,questionnaire,experiment test and interview,the author collected all the relevant materials and data,and applied the SPSS.19 software to analyze them.The study indicates that compared with the single whole class correction,the integrated correction way could help students get better progresses both in review results and review speed,which is more effective.And during the review stage,English teachers should use the integrated correction way and proper comments to correct students' English mock test papers in order to achieve the effectiveness of teacher's feedback.Taken together,the findings provide evidence that compared with single correction way,the use of integrated correction way is worthy to be applied in the correction of English mock test papers,which is expected to have some reference significance for the English teaching in review stage.
