The emergence of the auteurism can be traced back to 1948,geographically originated in France.On March 30th,1948,Alexander Astruc published the paper Camera-Fountain Pen:The Birth of a New Avant-garde on the 144th issue of The French Screen,which opened the curtain for the formation of the auteurism.In the 1950s,Truffaut and Bazin of French "movie book" started to propose and discuss "author strategy",which laid the foundation for the formation of the auteurism.In the 1960s,the"author strategy" movie criticism theory was transformed and developed by the United States and Britain,and finally formed the "author theory" of Andrew Saris and the"structuralist author theory" of Peter Warren.As an effective theory of film critics,"The Theory of the Author" has indelibly contributed to its contribution.Although it has undergone many arguments,it still occupies an important seat in the film world.Among the Chinese filmmakers,Ang Lee is a relatively independent person who advocates auteurism and applies it to his own works.On the one hand,his films have distinctive personal characteristics in terms of theme and style.The character of "author"is very obvious,but on the other hand,compared with the kind of pure art film director,Ang Lee's "author" The traits seem to be weaker.However,it is such a director who seems to be self-contradictory.In recent years,the film industry has become more and more brilliance at home and abroad.First,he became a member of the "Family Trilogy"(The Pushing Hands,Wedding Banquet,Dining for Mew and Women).The representative of Taiwan's new generation of directors then began his long journey in Hollywood with the "new trilogy"(Inteligenc" and Feelings,Ice Storm and Couple with the Devil),along with Crouching Tiger,Hidden Dragon,Brokeback Mountain and The Fantasy Rafting of the Juveniles succeeded in winning the Oscar,Ang Lee and his films are known worldwide.There are even comments that if there is one Chinese director who can become a master,then this person must be Ang Lee.Such a pride of the day,its research value is self-evident.This thesis will analyze the author's traits which are both contradictory and harmonious in Ang Lee from the perspective of auteurism.The introduction part mainly analyzes the research status of Ang Lee's film,explains the research significance of the thesis and the author's research methods.The text is divided into four parts:The firstchapter summarizes the auteurism,and sorts out Ang Lee's experience in studying and the road to film.The second chapter analyzes the authorness of Ang Lee from two aspects:narrative theme and narrative style.In terms of narrative theme,Ang Lee's film covers family ethics;cultural conflict,emotional struggle and individual growth.These seemingly irrelevant The topics all carry Ang Lee's exploration and analysis of human nature,with deep internal consistency;in terms of narrative style,Ang Lee inherited the restraint and subtlety of oriental culture,and the film style reflected "elegant peace without losing tension".The overall characteristics.The third chapter expounds the non-authorness of Ang Lee's choreographer,star performers,and box office,and then analyzes the subjective and objective reasons for the appearance of these non-authorness elements:the industrialized mode of production and commercial operation of the film,director Ang Lee's personal pursuit.Chapter IV deeply considers the significance of Ang Lee's successful blending of authorness and non-authorness:balancing the commercial and artistic aspects of the film,enhancing the public's cultural tastes,and innovating the auteurism,and further revealing Ang Lee's approach.Revelations for the film industry and academic circles.The final part of the conclusion is a summary of the whole article.It analyzes and discusses the two seemingly contradictory qualities of Ang Lee's authorness and non-authorness,and once again shows the position of this article:artistic and commercial is not incompetent.Nowadays,with the proliferation of commercial films,film workers should reflect on their own works and work hard to integrate personal life experiences into perceivable image structures and express more "author consciousness" in movies.
