Ji Dachun's style of painting cannot be summarised in fixed terms.Since the 90s of last century, his style of painting has been continuously changed. No matter how it changes,Ji Dachun's works are always alienated from beginning to end. This article is based on the alienation interest of Ji Dachun's paintings, combines with the theory of defamiliarization and analyzes his paintings on the alienated taste to explore its value. The alienated taste in his works can be divided into two aspects:the first is the alienation of Ji Dachun's personal painting language, and the second is the alienation of cognition in Ji Dachun's works. This paper is divided into four main parts:in The first part,I explore the source of alienated taste on the social background and Ji Dachun's personal experience, and defines the "alienation" mentioned in this paper. The second part, explores the alienation interest in Ji Dachun's painting language by analysing his works.First is the alienated effect of restraint. The gray tone and the meticulous depiction of his paintings build the alienated atmosphere. The second is the grotesque alienation image,he uses the means of lending, mixing, collage, fiction and so on,to put together the things that the audience is familiar with in the daily life, and creates new things which is absurd and strange. The third part explores the alienation cognition in Ji Dachun's painting language by analysing his works. The alienation breaks the established cognitive system that people are familiar with in the real world. He alienated the culture, history, daily experience and logic from the picture, but it is not completely subverted.Makeing the audience produces a critical attitude is his main purpose. The fourth part discusses the value and reflection of alienated taste in Ji Dachun's works in contemporary society.
