| "The Romance from the Closet" in Han opera(a kind of traditional Chinese local opera)was a play adapted by the dramatist Chen Bohua.Chen Bohua was inspired by watching Hebei bangzi(a kind of traditional Chinese opera was popular in the northern Hebei province.)"The Romance from the Closet" in 1956.She adapted it based on "The Romance from the Closet" from Qinqiang(a kind of traditional Chinese opera was popular in the northwestern Shanxi Province),and "The Romance from the Closet" from Hebei Bangzi.Chen Bohua’s interpretation and performance,the Han Opera version of"The Romance from the Closet",wan highly appreciated by the local people through all the generations.It enhanced her own styles uniqueness,and it said that the Han Opera version "The Romance from the Closet" was one of Chen Bohua’s masterpieces.At the same time,it was also the representation of the Tie(young female character in Han Opera)in the Han Opera.As time goes by,through the interpretation of generations of Han opera masters,"The Romance from the Closet" has always been blooming,and warmly welcomed on the stage of Han opera.This article takes the Han opera "The Romance from the Closet" as the study object,and specifies it into four parts,(a)its original screenplay style,(b)its birth,(c)Chen Bohua’s interpretation of Liu Yulian,the protagonist in the play,(d)and the overview of the current inheritance and heritage situation of "The Romance from the Closet".The first part of this article is to study the original script of "The Romance from the Closet".After analyzing "The Romance from the Closet" in Qinqiang and Hebei bangzi,it was determined that Qinqiang’s "The Romance from the Closet" was the first version of the interpretation,and it was also the reference prototype of the Han opera "The Romance from the Closet".The second part is the introduction of the background of the transplant of "The Romance from the Closet" and a detailed analysis of the script.The Han opera "The Romance from the Closet" was transplanted by Chen Bohua.By probing Chen Bohua’s life experiences,her learning experience in the troupe,her artistic accumulation,and her creative explorations,we can specifically discusses the background of Chen Bohua’s transplantation of "The Romance from the Closet" and then focused on the specific analysis of the character of Liu Yulian as the protagonists,the design of the lines,and the adaptation of the scenario.The third part specifically discusses Chen Bohua’s shaping and constructing of Liu Yulian’s modeling.This part is also the core of this study.Through the detailed study of Chen Bohua’s interpretation of Liu Yulian,we can understand Chen Bohua’s and even Chen School’s aesthetic concept and pursuit,and also make theoretical preparations for the next part of the study of Chen School’s inheritance.The fourth part discusses the inheritance of the Han opera "The Romance from the Closet" from the perspective of the inheritance by Han dramatists and from the significance of "The Romance from the Closet" in this era.Through the analysis of the four parts above,it can be concluded that Chen Bohua’s adaptation and interpretation of the Han opera "The Romance from the Closet" has devoted her quest for the "beauty" of the opera art.This is why "The Romance from the Closet" has been shining its brilliance and splendour over time. |
