The Study And Performance Analysis Of Hubert Parry's "D Minor Theme And 19 Variations"

Charles Hubert Hastings Parry(Charles.Hubert Hastings.Parry,February 27,1848 to October 7,1918),British composer,educationist and writer,which is one of the leader in the revival of British music from the end of nineteenth to the beginning of twentieth century."D minor theme and 19 variations" is his only piano variation work.In this paper,Parry's "D minor theme and 19 variations" as the research object,and divided into three chapters: the first chapter introduces the parry Hubert's life and the British music minds in the period of which he lived.The second chapter is about the music analysis of this work.Through analyse the musical structure,tonal modulation,harmony,melody and other aspects of a more comprehensive to get this music analysis.In the third chapter,the author will analyze the skill of the performance from the composer's creative idea,style and emotional expression.The author will make a detail analysis of the musical structure and performing techniques of "D minor theme and 19 variations",and elaborate the musical characteristics and expressions of the work,and dig out the value of this work.We hope to provide reference for learner who will study and play "D minor theme and 19variations" in the future.
