Charles Hubert Hastings Parry(27 February 1848-7 October 1918)was an English composer,educator and writer.He was one of the major figures in the British musical revival of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.Shulbrede Tunes is his title piano suite published in 1914.In this paper,Parry’s Shulbrede Tunes as the research object,divided into three chapters to discuss:the first chapter combined with the life of Hubert Parry and the era of the British music trend of thought to analyze the background of the creation;The second chapter from the form structure,music image and other aspects of a more comprehensive analysis of the work;The third chapter,on the basis of the above research content and combined with my own playing experience,carries on the performance research of this work,and puts forward some suggestions in the aspect of performance.Through the form analysis and performance research of the Shulbrede Tunes,as well as the practice suggestions extracted from my own practice,I hope to provide help to the players and provide reference for the performance.
