Research On Design In Children's Library Signage Base On The Children's Aesthetics

Typically,signage tends to serve a few common purposes: to identify,provide spatial information or give directions.Sign system design is more than just any kind of graphic display within a specific area intended to convey information to an audience.It is also a combination and application of Psychology,Art Design,Mass Communication and multimedia material.It is not only a design of an arrow or a road sign,but also a fusion of elements: graphic,color and typeface,to enhance the overall appearance of a space or its surroundings.Statistically,there are 122 children's libraries in China,serving nearly 28.16 million people.In other words,a significant number of patrons will benefit from a better library sign system.Therefore,we are committed to looking for suitable signage for kids in children's library.Based on the aesthetic taste of children,this paper designs visual symbols for the development of children.It emphasizes that children's Library guidance system should pay more attention to the design of "interesting",and explore diversified and multi-dimensional interesting guidance methods,try to maximize the guidance function and make people experience the convenience of guidance.Working in this way,we will develop an attractive,exciting and effective signage system for children.This better signage,having a recognized “look and feel”,communicates library patrons understanding.And user experience will be greatly improved.
