For the new-born regime, how to gather the people's hearts and get the recognition of him by the society is a constant topic. One of the manifestations of this recognition is the cultural identity of the people to this regime. Therefore, all Chinese forces in modern times have vigorously promoted their cultural awareness, for instance, the Kuomintang's"Three Principles of the people," and in order to identify with their rule, the rulers have used political power to carry out cultural ideological construction of the people in the region through education and mass media.Specifically, after Japan's capture of Wuhan,Japan supported the puppet regime and intended to use the Wuhan area as an important planning point for its invasion of China. Therefore,Japan and the pseudo-government would inevitably construct the cultural ideology in Wuhan and build the legality of their political power. The construction activities of the Japanese-Puppet Regime in Wuhan's enemy-occupied areas could be described as laborious efforts. They set up cultural organizations and regarded them as a vehicle to promote the Sino-Japanese "identical and similar species" through newspapers and magazines, and to promote cultural and arts associations in Wuhan, education, literature and art activities. The construction of a new cultural awareness of the people in Wuhan's subjugated areas was under way.The new culture was guided by Japan, and what the new culture is China and Japan communicating with each other and coexist. In the cultural construction activities, the Japanese-puppet regime firstly reshaped its own image. After being transformed into a "justice" party,it gave the image of the party and the Communist Party to "demonize".The intention was to let people lose faith in the political power of Chiang Kai-Shek.The second was through various forms of cultural business activities, such as the establishment of libraries, lectures, and film and television works,to promote their cultural ideas. In the process of propaganda, the Japanese and Puppet Regimes paid more attention to the Chinese traditional cultural resources.Among them,Confucian culture and Chinese Buddhism are the focus of its use. They sought cultural exchanges between China and Japan through reinterpretation of traditional Chinese culture. The sameness promotes that China and Japan should communicate and cooperate culturally and establish a new East Asian culture. However, the Sino-Japanese war was not only a political-military war,but also a cultural war.In the face of the cultural colonial intent of the Japanese-Puppet regime, the Kuo Min Tang and the Communist Party and the patriots wrote articles to declare war on the cultural strategies of the Japanese-Puppet Regime and the war of culture in wartime. It was also in full swing, and eventually the dream of the cultural construction of the Japanese-Puppet Regime in Wuhan's enemy-occupied areas ended with the defeat of the Japanese military. The dream of constructing the "New East Asian culture" was finally resolved.Looking at the cultural construction activities of the Japanese-Puppet regime in Wuhan's enemy-occupied areas, despite the clever management of the personnel of the Japanese and Puppet regime, cultural activities had the characteristics of concealment and popularity, but for the majority of citizens, they were ultimately foreign aggressors.Cooperation with them would undoubtedly bear the nickname of a Chinese traitor,so the cultural consciousness of the Japanese-Puppet regime couldn't be widely recognized by the general public and only ended with failure.
