Tao Fu was an influential Classical Chinese novelist in mid Ming Dynasty.Hewas living mainly in Chenghua,Hongzhi,Zhengde period.Tao Fu was born in amilitary family,his father Tao Jin has been a shining soldier and a First-class minister.Tao Fu Inherited the position of father at the age of twenty-three,he was appointed asthe commander of He Yang Wei.Tao Fu was an honest and frank man and wasincompatible ’with the officialdom of that time,so he quit without disease,anddecided to live in the mountains for the rest of his life.Although Tao Fu was a militaryofficer,he was in love with literature.Tao Fu created a large number of literary worksduring his life,but there was only collection of novels in literary Chinese Huayingjiand note Sangyumanzhi exist.This article is divided into seven parts,which are the introduction,the fivechapters and the summary.The introduction mainly explains the significance of this study and combs theresearch status of Tao Fu and his works and the research space of this article.The first chapter outlines the family life and friends of Tao Fu.The second chapter mainly combs Tao Fu’s thoughts,including Tao’s theory ofYin-Yang school,religion thoughts,View of marriage and love and outlook on life.The third chapter mainly analyzes the artistic characteristics of Huayingji,focusing on the two aspects of narrative structure and characterization.The fourth chapter mainly studies the poetry and Song lyrics in Tao Fu’sHuayingji,classifying poetry and Song lyrics and analyzing their artisticcharacteristics.The fifth chapter mainly summarizes and analyzes the contents ofSangyumanzhi,and analyzes Tao Fu’s mentality.The summary part mainly summarizes the whole text and prospects the futureresearch in this direction.
