In the development of primary and secondary education,the application of information and communication technology(ICT)has become increasingly important.Teachers ICT application ability refers to the ability of using emerging technologies based on computer technology and supported by online media and related subject's teaching software.The ICT use intention is the teacher's intention to use ICT in teaching in the future.The purpose of this study is to inculcate the culture of adopting information and communication technologies in the school education,highlights the factors that influence teachers' ICT application as a teaching tool and reveals the impact of ICT application capability on ICT use intention.This study examined the ICT application status of primary and secondary school teachers with teachers' ICT application ability scale,ICT use attitude scale,ICT teaching efficacy scale and ICT use intention scale(N = 358).Results of this study are as follows:(1)The ICT application ability of middle and primary school teachers is at a medium level,and the intention of using ICT is at the middle and upper level.(2)There are significant differences in ICT application ability and ICT teaching efficacy in terms of age,education background,teaching age,and teaching segment.(3)ICT use attitude and ICT teaching efficacy have a complete mediating role in the relationship between ICT application ability and ICT use intention.Conclusion:(1)The overall development level of ICT application ability of primary and secondary school teachers is at middle level.Among them,preparation ability develops better,production ability and moral full attention ability are at the middle and upper level,and communication ability,guidance ability,and development ability are at at middle level.(2)ICT application ability has a significant positive predictive effect on ICT use intentions.(3)ICT application ability affects ICT use intention through ICT use attitude and ICT teaching efficacy.
