The researches of contemporary psychology show that in addition to explicit learning,people are able to carry out the complex learning through the mechanism of implicit learning.In the history,the earliest researcher who studied implicit learning through experiments was Reber,A.S.He defined implicit learning as an unconscious process of acquiring complex knowledge in the stimulating environments.Nowadays,scholars mainly study implicit learning from the dimension of psychology,there are not many deep researches on English grammar implicit learning,especially the influence of different input modes on English grammar implicit learning.The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of different input modes on English grammar implicit learning.The input modes in the thesis mainly include visual input mode,auditory input mode and audio-visual input mode.The influence mainly contains two aspects,one is the occurrence of implicit learning,the other is the effects of implicit learning.Therefore,the thesis explores the following questions:1)What is the influence on the occurrence of students' English grammar implicit learning under the three different input modes?2)What are the comparative effects of students' English grammar implicit learning under the three different input modes?The experiment subjects are students of three classes in Grade Seven,and the experiment task is the learning of verbs rules of subjunctive mood.The experiment results are as follows:1)Students' English grammar implicit learning can occur whether under the visual,auditory or audio-visual input mode.The input mode is not a decisive factor to restrict the occurrence of students' English grammar implicit learning.2)The best effect of students' English grammar implicit learning is under the audio-visual input mode while under the visual and auditory input mode,the effect is similar to each other.After the study of the influence of different input modes on English grammar implicit learning,the thesis draws some pedagogical implications.First,the teachershould flexibly apply implicit teaching mode and explicit teaching mode based on the difficulty of knowledge when teaching English grammar.Second,the teacher should not only make students read but also listen to the learning materials at the same time when applying implicit teaching mode in English grammar teaching.
