Childhood is the most important material and core object of children's literature.It constitutes the spiritual core of children's literature.The view of childhood has a great influence on the appearance of Children's Literary writing.Different writers' writing styles and childhood experiences form different childhood writings.Childhood writing is not only a kind of experience-sharing experience for readers,it also assumes the humane mission of arousing collective memory and guiding ethnic identity in the process of self-disclosure of the writer.The discovery of Children during the May Fourth Period led to trend of children's literature writing about childhood,which gradually expanded later.This thesis chooses Xiaohe Dingding's children's novels as the research object,and analyzes the childhood writing.Xiaohe Dingding's childhood writings have distinct qualities of colliding with fantasy and reality.There are two reading paths which lead us to his childhood writing:Realistic tradition and Folk fantasy.This thesis analyzes the transformation from writer's memory to the texts,and draws a conclusion that Xiaohe Dingding's childhood narration has a distinctive regional style.The second part of the thesis concentrates on the important constituent elements of Xiaohe Dingding's Xidong World,namely,which is mainly composed of the image of a young boy "Dingding",the narration of folklore,and the writing of local people constitute.The thesis explores the content and style of Xiaohe Dingding's childhood writing,and explains the cultural imagination of childhood writing such as self,children,and history.This thesis also explore how contemporary childhood writing can get rid of nostalgia and memories,to construct the reading taste of contemporary children readers facing the future.Finally,the thesis analyzes the cultural vision of his childhood writing,studies on the writer's writing motivation,finds that childhood writing is a kind of childhood imagination of author to balance the self-anxiety,and it also calls the recognition of collective memory.However,Xiaohe Dingding can not escape from the "Peter Pan Complex" of childhood writing.The writer establishes personal history through childhood writing,realizes self-identity,and embeds individuals in national ethnic and collective life.It hindered him from producing a childhood message that transcends personal experience.The children in his books doesn't have a specific growth story and delineated within the author's Utopia.So,his books could not provide real growth experience to the young readers.Childhood writing still idealizes childhood,does not create a social space in which children hope to grow,and hinders Dingding from continuing to explore the path of childhood writing and possible development.Xiaohe Dingding's childhood writing is an enrichment to the types of Chinese childhood writing,which provides a path to Chinese childhood writing and development.
