Study Of He Duoling's Early Painting Style

In this paper,the main core is the analysis of He Duoling's painting style in his early stage(1977-1992).He Duoling is a contemporary Chinese lyric realism oil painter,one of the representative painters of “Art of Scars”,has a certain impact on Chinese oil painting,especially in the early stage of his painting creation.He Duoling experienced three great changes in China Art Circles in the early stage of his painting works——“Art of the Cultural Revolution”,“Art of Scars”,“85 Ideological Trend”.He can keep pace with the times while not being disturbed,continue to unswervingly carry on the realism creation and constantly optimize his techniques in the face of the new ideas and art forms that have poured into the art world.His judgment and effort made him become a leader in the same period among Sichuan painters.The oil paintings in his early stage are famous for the rigorous shape,the superb technique,the aesthetical color and the unique style of sadness,and it has made outstanding contributions to the realistic painting of our country in terms of theme,technique,use of color and expression of emotion.This paper is divided into four parts: in the first part,the formation of He's early painting style is analyzed from the aspects of background of the times,personal experience and the influence of Andrew Wise;in the second part,the aesthetic features of his early painting style is analyzed from the aspects of technical features and emotional expression;in the third part,his early representative works are appreciated from aesthetic opinion;in the last part,the times value and artistic contribution of his early painting style are analyzed.He duoling painted masterpieces of art one after another with his lyric,poetic,sad brush strokes and expressed his attitude towards life and thought of social reality.
